Bike through the gated section of the road (there is restricted vehicle access) until a creek runs beneath the road into the golf course. Here a fine gravel trail begins to the left that runs along the river and sporadically reenters this main road. This trail system will take you all the way to Point Mallard Water Park as you follow the river. A small section near the end of the trail branches off to the campground.
Very easy going trail, well maintained, rolling hills in certain areas, scenic view, used by both bicyclists and runners. Restroom and water fountain at the large pavilion next to the ice complex and soccer fields.
If you take the main trail all the way to the water park and pavilions, the trail is out & back.
However, if you choose to ride through the campgroud, you can make a loop on a blacktop paved walking/biking trail that runs between the main vehicle road and golf course.
Note that the blacktop paved trail can be taken past the parking area, General Electric, Goodyear, over the railroad tracks and eventually becomes a bicycle lane that ends at Rhodes Ferry Park. (11 mi)
