The singletrack is technically satisfying but the Juniper trail must have been cut when mountain bike bars were 580mm wide because there are so many trees near the trail that a modern 780mm or wider bar is simply impassable. I measured some tree gaps at under 700mm wide, impossible to get through! Judging by the torn up bark, it appears many riders have met grief. Do you know how hard you have to hit a juniper tree to tear the bark off? Ouch. I didn't enjoy riding this trail with the constant fear of faceplanting. In my estimation, one important part of building a trail is to clear the brush so riders can actually ride the trail. The builders at Pedernales obviously had other ideas of what makes a trail. Do NOT recommend.
