Trail Description
About this trail
The Old Saybrook Preserve is a network of multi-use trails spanning approximately 1000 acres of forest. Most trails are beginner to intermediate level with few drops or highly technical features. Due to the recent purchase of the property with a partial grant from the State of Connecticut, new trail development is on hold until surveys and environmental impact studies are complete.

Review: An ever expanding network of trails on a largely unmarked trail system. Very pretty area with the trails around Pequot Swamp Pond affording some nice views. Primary trails are beginner-friendly and have a cross-country feel with a respectable amount of climbing and descents. Secondary trails are primarily singletrack, providing more challenges and varied terrain. A great place to put in some fun, less-technical miles. No hunting permitted (though likely to change in the future) so riding in the fall is worry-free.
