About this trail
Multiuse trail that follows the Minnesota River through oak-savannah from Belle Plain to Chaska, MN. Wide doubletrack that sometimes lacks a hardpack trail, but is usually mowed. Can be sandy in some spots. Scenic views of the River. There are some camping areas, and access points to National Wildlife Refuges (e.g., Louisville Swamp) and other public lands and trail systems. A map is available at: http://files.dnr.state.mn.us/maps/state_parks/sra00304.pdf. Watch for horses and hikers.

Review: Rating it 2 stars for views only. Otherwise it's a mellow grade singletrack, double track and paved path. Now it's overgrown in many places. Could be a good winter route for fatbike. Not worth a special trip
