The Michigan Sugar Trails system only has about 1.25 miles of singletrack at the present time. These trails have been developed in the last couple years, and more singletrack is planned for the near future. The entire loop runs through mainly level, wooded terrain in close proximity to the West Channel of the Saginaw River. The majority of the loop is classified as easy, but a short portion along the southern edge of the property is classified as intermediate.

From the intersection of Salzburg Avenue and Euclid Avenue on the southwest side of Bay City, take Salzburg Avenue east to the Lafayette Bridge. After crossing the first of the two spans that comprise the Lafayette Bridge, turn right (south) on Evergreen Drive (the only right turn you can make between the two bridge spans). Drive about 1/4 mile south on Evergreen Drive, and the trailhead will be on the right.
