Trail Description
About this trail
Very cool singletrack. Not especially hard. Be careful near the areas the lake eroded; they are gnarly to fall into. Good luck! The trail around the lake is no longer a trail - you must make your own if you want to do it.. about 8 miles around. DO NOT GO ON THE GOLFCOURSE/GOLF CART PATH.

Review: Have been riding here since I was a young lad. Lots of different terrain from dirt to grass, some rocks, log rollovers, some jumps and even flat paved areas. This can accommodate the beginner rider to the intermediate rider. Many trails outside of the marked trails. The trail around the lake is NO LONGER a trail, you have to make your own way. Stay off the golf course and out of the swamps. Watch for ticks and snakes. The wildlife refuge area by the dam is beautiful and full of trails.

Review: Great place! Paved paths, lots of wooded trails with some basic obstacles. One area had some big drops, a challenge for any rider. In short, something for all levels. But not extensive...great place to take friends of of varied levels of younger riders looking to start sometjing challenging.

Review: Good for beginners and intermediate. There's a little known spot you can ride if you park at the Majestic Dragons Practice Center, ride down South Post Road and enter from a truck path, there's a traffic sign there which I think is a speed limit sign. When you're done there you can continue riding in the known trails. Just look for the woods by the lake.

Review: As a beginner this was my first trail and what really made me want to look for more trail in the area. I always start from the Marina and work my way around to the golf course and then back to the Marina again.

Review: Rode everything today and I was in for quite the surprise. While some reviews state this is all easy single track and only 6 miles long really haven't discovered this places full potential. I rode 15 miles today and barely doubled back on a trail. The west side has a lot of smooth, twisty single track and the east side is where the real challenge lies. The trails are a bit more technical with a ton of roots, few bridges, and awesome trails. I'll definitely be giving this place another visit. Best parking area is by the volleyball courts and marina.

Review: MCP gets a 3 just because its not doing anything special. If you live in the area its the best place, its nice because you can easily do a short ride or a long ride. Once you know the trails you can get 12 miles in. I usually start at the west picnic area and do a loop of the trails there then ride the various trails over to the east picnic area and do a loop of the trails back there then back. 99% winding single track, 80% flat, often muddy. Great for after work if you are local. Id say its worth driving a half hour for, but unless you are very adventurous you won't get the most out of it your first time out.

Review: Great place to ride in snow or icy conditions. (see the videos I posted for an example) Nothing too difficult and relatively flat. Nice place to ride, scenic with a lot of deer. Plenty of singletrack. A beginner should have no problems riding here.

Review: Lots of twists and turns, trailsrlings are confusing, i Rode the blue snd red trails and felt like i was riding in circles. Sections you can get some speed are followed by tight turns which gets anoying. We had trouble just finding a trail and ended up just riding blindly into the woods to start.

Review: Mercer is a 16+ mile network of trails. The terrain is relatively flat. There are some tight twisty parts between trees that make for a challenge. Most of the log-overs and piles have go arounds. Some areas are very rooty while others trails are buttery smooth. I ride here almost on a weekly basis and I'm still finding new routes to take. To increase the challenge you just have to increase your speed.
