Trail Description
About this trail
The Mananui Tramline, also called the Mahinapua Walkway, runs roughly east-west through a forest reserve just north of the beautiful Lake Mahinapua. There is a short walking side track to the lake - good for a swim in the summer.

The trail mainly follows a tramline used to cart logs from the forest to the local mill. It's an easy, flat, wide, all-weather track with heritage interest - a very mellow holiday ride for all the family.

This trail now forms a small part of the West Coast Wilderness Trail.
