Trail Description
About this trail
A fast but techinical ride. There are numerous routes one can take depending on skill level and how hard you want to ride. There are some lengthy, technical climbs, but the descents are well worth the effort. At the right time of day you might get lucky and see some of the local wildlife.

Review: Great trail, all levels and very fun, you can have a short ride of 1hr or doing a very long and complete fun ride of 3hrs, I love this trail. Very good location on the westside El Paso

Review: Lost Dog/Redd Road Trails in El Paso, TX are very good. I have recently moved to Austin Texas and have been riding many trails "rated" higher on this best trails in Texas list. To my suprise, the Lost Dog/Redd Road Trails in El Paso Texas were just as good, even though it is "rated" in the 60's.

This whole trail system is on the Franklin Mountains. As such, many of the trails head up the mountain and back down the mountain. The trail will be quite rocky, however, most of the trails you can enjoy on a XC bike. However, there are some areas where more travel might be needed. Additionally, this park system has many miles trails in the general park area.

Besides the Lost Dog Trails, El Paso also offers similar trails on the East side of Trans Mountain (Franklin Mountains) as well as, the Crazy Cat Trails located near the University of Texas At El paso, Downtown.
