Trail Description
About this trail
Lost Cause is the most challenging descent down Methodist Mountain. The upper section of the trail is basically a straight-down rocky plummet down a washed out singletrack. I could see that some parts have been repaired, have been rerouted, or have water bars across it, but I wonder if this section of trail has been named "Lost Cause" since making it sustainable is a lost cause.
Still, this trail is located in the very dry high-desert climate of Methodist Mountain, so this area doesn't receive much rain. AND it's a blast to ride, so even though it might be a lost cause, you still gotta love it!

Review: This descent provides some welcome fun as part of a loop on the Little Rainbow for an advanced rider or adventurous intermediate. Carry as much speed as the narrow trail and sometimes sketchy surface will allow.

Review: I've said most of what I have to say in the trail description above, but this is a fun, old school singletrack descent with plenty of entertaining gnar! Yeah, it could be gnarly, but it's still a blast!
