Review: Los Burros is a great high altitude trail not far away from Pinetop-Lakeside and Show Low. It features some real fast flowy sections, especially around Wishbone Mountain, and great scenery. Riding it in the fall will yield you some great fall colors as the seasons change, as there are nice Aspen groves here and there to enjoy. It's a great trail. The only things I'd grade it down on it that it has a little too much double track woven into it to suit my tastes, and if you are looking for a ride closer to town, the Buena Vista #637 offers more single track for far less driving.

Review: This is my second time on this trail and it doesn't disappoint. Depending on the route you choose it will be a short constant uphill or a long gradual ascent, both ending with a fun downhill section that leads back to the trailhead. Be wary of roots on the downhill after a rain!

Review: This trail is great! Some good climbing and really fun descending through the pines and aspen trees. Very picturesque, lots of roaming cattle and greenery. It makes for a good loop in connection to the Chipmunk Connector.

Review: Premier loop in the White Mountains. Well marked flowing singletrack, some steady, but gradual climbs and bombing descents. Sure to put a smile on any mtbers face!

For even more fun ride up to the Lake Mountain lookout tower and down the Four Springs trail making a nice little steep loop as you finish Los Burros.

Review: Fun ride with a mix of singletrack and old jeep trails. Lots of trail junctions, but impossible to get lost. Just follow the blue diamonds nailed to the pine trees. Riding the loop counterclockwise ensures multiple fast, fun downhill sections. The downhill sections make all the climbing worth the effort. Watch for wildlife. Elk, deer and bears roam this area. Is a bit of a drive to get there. The campground at the trailhead is very nice. Recommend spending the night and riding the trail twice to justify the drive.

Review: I'm surprised, no reviews of Los Burros! I have been riding this beautiful, fun trail for years. Great from early summer through October-ish. Lots of great singletrack, a couple of big climbs and one of the best downhill sections anywhere. Beautiful alpine setting. I've seen tons of elk and the occasional random predator. Love this trail and try to ride it a couple of times a year. Part of the White Mountain Trail System where you must check out Panorama Trail or ride the Tour of The White Mountains.
