Trail Description
About this trail
Life Adventure Center, or LAC, is the newest addition to the Bluegrass Region's bike parks. Comparable to Skullbuster in Georgetown this area has much potential. The trails are somewhat more technical and it's a rocky and rooty place where your speed will find no purchase.
Initially the trail descends into a drainage and then parallels the dry creekbed for some distance passing beside one of the Bluegrasses historic stone fences. The trail system is currently a lariat format.

Review: Trail is a blast. Lots of switchbacks, & rocks. Couple of climbs, but very doable. I will be back.

Review: Twisty treat with dead climbs and rocky riverbeds. Not too tough, but the climbs are sudden so you need to be prepared. The top flows on the return and the tiny concrete bridge is fun. Minor vertical exposure in the creek bed. I will be back, and gear down for the climbs.

Review: I have been to several bike trails and to date this is the best I have been on. The trail is well cared for and with the "alternate trail" there is now an option for jumps and a bee fast downhill. I am in town to see a friend and plan to return every time I am here.

Review: Nice short little clearly marked trail. Lots of leafs over some of the downhill sections make for interesting riding. Nice technical climbs with some sharp unbanked turns. Be prepared to climb!

Review: Not a bad trail. Just be prepared to climb up hill a lot. Multiple creek crossings. Very tight turns in some places so don't expect to go fast. There's one way in and one way out.. Wouldn't recommend taking kids here.

Review: The trailhead is marked "Knucklehead" which sounds much better than Life Adventure Center. I would expect a trail with the name "Life Adventure Center" to be pretty darn epic...this is not the case...yet.

Knucklehead or LAC is a nice addition the the trail barren Lexington area. Its all easy/intermediate level singletrack that gets more challenging/technical as it progresses. It features a lollypop layout and I only logged 4 miles but you can always make a few laps to get a good workout. The system does remind me of a smaller version of Skullbuster in Georgetown. The trailbuilders here are good craftsmen which shows with this well bench cut trail. This place has good potential and I hope it continues to grow. Nice work.
