Trail Description
About this trail
there are a lot of steep narrow climbs, but you are rewarded on the back side with some great downhill runs. it can also be very wet which will cause the trails to be closed, call the york county park system to check on that status. there are a few loops to pick from going around both lakes, you can spend quite a few hours here. there are also a few tunnels/crick through ways that can make or break your day depending how wet you get. overall fun place to run... watch out for the horse traffic.

Review: Moderate riding with some good climbs and descents. A few tricky spots but very rideable.

Review: Evening Ride with YAMBA. Great group ride with a great bunch of guys. Trail was muddy in spots and the damage from the recent storms can be seen all over. Still a great ride.

Review: Off of North George, I tried 2/2a/2c/2/2b. 2a is a great climb. Going down 2c is nerve racking and extremely technical (I can't imagine going up). 2b is unwalk-able much less ride-able. Stick to 2 and 4 for going around Lake Williams. Lots of poison ivy so don't wreck and wear protective clothing if you try the #letter trails. Also, pause once and a while because the scenery is amazing. Keep in mind, I've been doing this for about a month.

Similar Trail: I typically ride Rocky Ridge - totally different

Review: Rode this past weekend, 9.5miles looping through trails 3, 4, and ,4b. Some decent downhills, rocks and tree roots to watch out for. Trails were kept up, we added a few markers to keep us straight. Had a good time will go back for sure.

Review: It has been nearly 20 years since I rode a York County Parks trail. To say it was welcome home would be an understatement. I loved being back on the turf I grew up on. The trails really had not changed all that much, with the exception of what felt like additional offshoots and connectors. Overall the trail conditions were phenomenal and the weather may the Saturday morning ride a complete joy. Trails 4 & 7 were covered on this ride and I will definitely be back!

Review: Couple of gnarly climbs, some fast and smooth down hills, lots of big roots, hardly a rock garden unless you head to trail 1 or 7. Can flow superbly if you choose the right route. There are some super fun and tight single track sections like trail 5, parts of 4, and 2c. Trail 1 can get technical. 7 is a freaking mess right now. You can log about 18 miles if you stick to the outside loop. Weekends get super crowded. Not all trails are marked on the map either and most of those are kinda fun.

Review: Rode here on back to back nights for the first time last week. There are some great trails that are a lot of fun. However I would avoid trail 7 unless you are a gluten for punishment, it is a mess right now and not easy to ride at all.

Review: This trail is just around the corner from my house and I ride here often. There are a variety of trails and terrains. Some great climbs, some tricky obstacles here and there... Even a stream that you have to ride through a tunnel for about 150 feet. Or walk if it's deep... Some single track, double track...mostly through wooded areas. The maintenance of the trail can be spotty, but they are pretty good about clearing out fallen trees. There's a few good hours of riding here. Everyone in York County goes to Rocky Ridge so it's rarely crowded. Check theYork County Oarks twitter for upto date trail conditions. They close from time to time.

Review: Trail 1 is on the north side of the on top of the damn. Nice loop, If you take the wide entrance to the right in it is about a 1 mile climb wide open (car width) grassy path. Coming back down is a steep drop off single track with switchbacks, some obstacles and lots of rock to navigate. Trail exits just to the left on the entrance. Go backwards to get in a pretty technical climb and a screeming fast descent.
