This is a sixteen mile lollipop with a six mile stem and a four mile loop at the far end of the stem. It is all narrow singletrack with occasional techy bits, and in some places the vegetation can take over, or the lake can flood low spots. Hot in the midday, but nice temps early in the morning. Lots of bugs.

Approaching Fritch from the south, just before town, turn left onto Lakeview Drive, and follow it down into the National Recreation Area. Look for a small parking loop with a couple picnic tables on the right. The trail is directly across the road to the south. The trail itself may not be immediately visible as it is lightly used and the start sometimes gets overgrown, but there is a small "trail" sign. Look beyond the sign to pick up the trail.
