Trail Description
About this trail
Take a counter clockwise dirrection and just explore. the trail is FLAT, and I gave it a technical rating of 5 as an avarege. The perimeter is more of your family and slightly above style riding, there are trails in the interior (Tony's Playground) that border on insane trials riding. There is something for everyone here.

Q: Is it good for a beginner mountain biker? I just got my first real mountain bike yesterday and want to start trail riding and this trail is only like 20 minutes away! If someone has rode this trail please answer my questions: is it suitable for beginners? And is it easy to navigate during the spring and summer time? Thanks :) -Guest

A: I think it is pretty beginner-friendly, especially if you stick to the parts labeled blue or green. It is very flat, so it is very easy from a cardio perspective. As far as technical difficulty, if you stick to the green/blue parts, the hardest thing is going over a few logs. I would say, of Omaha/CB-area trails, it is one of the most beginner-friendly. I have ridden it many times with beginners.

Review: THIS TRAIL IS PERMANENTLY CLOSED AS OF JUNE 30, 2018 due to extensive flooding. Unsafe due to unstable trees. Do not ride or hike.

Review: Flat and easy. Can have trees down after a storm. Nice when mowed. If not, can be difficult to see trail.

Review: This is my "home" trail, where my friend brought me as a baby mountain biker, and which I still ride regularly out of convenience. It is technically easy and fitness-wise very easy. Much of the trail is nice and flowy, though it can get over-grown, and is prone to lots of burrs which stick to your clothes. Some parts are sandy, which can require a little knowledge of how to ride through sand. There are also a few places you need to ride over logs. If you want a bit more technical challenge, there are a couple of optional, harder loops which have low bridges and some medium skinnies to try. Oh, and I second Scott737's warning about valuables. I left a backpack in my car, Fall 2016, while I did some riding after class. I was out on the trail for about an hour, and returned to find my window broken out and my backpack gone. There have been a few people arrested for breaking into cars in the Lake Manawa State Park (where this trail lies), but sadly, my things were never recovered.

Review: I brought a first timer and he had fun riding. Thought it's a neat riding. However, be sure to keep your possession in safe place while going out on bike. Someone broke in a truck at the parking lot and stole a wallet. Police department mentioned that there is history of break in.

Review: This trial is not recommended for anyone who likes any it of speed or challenge. You can't catch any spend unless you pedal for it all. It's too flat an overgrown. Only two or three difficult sections and they aren't any differ than the rest of the trail. 0/10 would not recommend.

Review: I came back to find half of loop being covered with overgrown plants, few fallen trees, and some low hanging branches but it didn't stop me from having fun. Only I need to remind anybody - first timer - to watch out for hidden logs that being covered with overgrown grass. (Unless it's being cleared by them).

Review: It's a fun riding! I enjoyed it a lot and didn't requires much climbing. I definitely will go back there again someday. It's sad to see how it looked after being under 8' foot water during might Missouri river flooding in 2011.

Review: I rode this for the first time today and I had a great time. The trailhead starts off in this ridiculous amount of sand, but after that, you're golden. There are tight areas and many log crossings, some small and some large. The area is mostly flat but still great fun. Further along the trail you hit some fun obstacles to test your balance. There are some sand pits along the way that you can make it through if you keep going. It will get a little squirrelly on you and make you laugh. I had a great time booking it and whipping around all the trees. Members of THOR were out today trimming away and I greatly appreciate their efforts and maintenance on this trail. This place has great potential and I will be back. Great layout and trail system. My ride ended in slipping in some deer poop, which then my spokes caught a branch, which then went in between my rear derailleur and cassette, which then bent my derailleur all up. Now I'm sad... ;-( But I did add some new photos for you to get an idea of the place.
