Review: Fun, peppy little loop. A few surprise obstacles, surprise drops, and a few surprise hair-pin turns. Very pump-track like, fast and twisty.

Review: I think there is some confusion about this trail. Ionia State Recreation Area and Cheif Cob-Moos-Sa are one and the same as far as I can tell. Singletracks should fix this issue. If you park by Sessions lake ride the trail (which is a two track) north past where it says "mountain bike trail" and cross West Riverside Drive, you will see a small building with a sheriff star sign on it, the trail runs right in front of this. go right and you will be on Cheif Cob-Moos-Sa trail which runs near the side of the road at that spot. It would be better to park at one of the parking lots on West Riverside Drive. There is a nice paved lot about 1/4 mile east of the small building with a sheriff star on it. Besides that, this is a solid trail which I enjoyed very much. Little bit of everything here.

Review: The review above about the trails no longer existing is not true. Trails are still there and are being kept in quite good shape. Trail map and signage could be updated as the trail has changed some since the rail trail went in. Nice flowing trail with some fun down hills into twists and turns. Two pretty good climbs on the long loop on the way out from the trail head, but not terrible. Good trail to do multiple laps on if in the area.

Review: Extremely disappointing, if there ever was a trail here, it's gone now. Only a dirt road leading to a highway. There are small trails that branch off at a couple point, but are all marked with "Hikers and horses only, no bikes".

Review: This is a great trail to hone skills. The beginning is flat but it's made good use of the area. A bridge was out at the time but you can climb up and over to get to the other side.

The western edge is fun. It's an off camber trail with some decent climbing. Once you turn back eastward, the terrain will become gravel and rolls nicely.

One bit of advice, if you pull into the lot labeled with Mtb Trail, you have to head straight down the path until you cross a road. I was a little confused about this and it became clear.
