About this trail
A nice, shady trail traveling along the gorgeous Hunter Creek with some good climbs but amazing views. It is an all around great trail, and because there is a network of trails here, you could spend all day exploring.

Review: This is a nice flowy trail, in the top valley. We started at the upper parking lot at the end of Red Mountain Road. You will have to drive through the "Red Mountain Private Drive" area, but go ahead. You can either drive all the way on Red Mountain Drive, or go onto Hunter Creek Road for some of it. Apparently, there is another trailhead on Hunter Creek Rd, but not sure of parking. Some also climb up Smuggler's Road and connect to the trail system there.
Some options on both sides of Hunter Creek; all seem to be smooth and flowy, within the upper valley.
This was our final ride of the 3 days, and it was easy, with little elevation gain.

Review: This is a beautiful trail with fantastic scenery. If you start at the parking lot, then the trail will be a lot of up and down singletrack for a while. You have to cross a road, and then continue on the trail. After you continue on and cross the bridge, you will come to a steep, rocky climb for a little while. At the top you will reach a gorgeous meadow with wildflowers and rolling singletrack for a little while. Once the Hunter Creek Trail ends you can continue on, it is a large network of trails. You can also take the Hunter Creek Cutoff up to Smuggler Road for a longer ride.
