Trail Description
About this trail
The trail is a two way trail for the first (and last) half mile or so, but there are no signs that say this (I
only realized this as I was finishing the trail). The trail has good flow, has some good climbs that turn
into even better down hill stretches. I had a blast here and would make the hour drive from Grand
Rapids again for this trail.

Review: Not impressed. Could be cool trail. Tons of trees down in the trail, poorly marked. Also extremely hard to find, and once you do come even close to the "trail head", there are no signs telling you where the mt bike trails are.

Review: Pretty decent trail for the area. Just follow the yellow markers to stay on the loop. I only saw 1 pile of horse droppings and the trail wasnt beat up from horse traffic so it wasnt at all like some of the older reviews. The bridge feature in one of the photos is no longer there. It looks to have been destroyed some time ago.

Review: Very nice Trail. Keep a very sharp watch for trail signs, yellow triangle with arrow. There are no trail maps at intersections and there is no cell service in the area.

Review: Very sandy in places. Some nice hill climbs. The trail width varied greatly. 8 feet in places, to just a few inches in other locations. No berms/bridges/etc. Be sure to bring some bug spray. The deer flies tore me up!

Review: If you are looking for a well groomed trail like Merrill or Luton, this is not for you. It is truly a path cut through the woods. The ground is mostly covered in leaves and lots of sand in some areas. However, it is a fun ride with a good flow to it. There are some steep climbs and fast down hills but not a lot of technical obstacles.

Review: Poor markings led to a very frustrating start...once we found the bike trail it was a decent ride. Probably deserves four stars but the beginning of our day took it down. If you are going to ride it, remember the bike trail is marked with yellow arrows. Wish we would have known that at the beginning.

Review: This is a good trail for people who just want to go out and ride fast and not have to worry about rocks and roots. There are very few technical sections and is just mostly a dirt trail but is really fun to ride. I had a blast.

Review: Not a bad trail once you figure out how to get on it. Trail markers were hit and miss. Not much traffic.

Review: I agree with another reviewer that this is an overlooked trail system. The trail is a nice loop that I rode both clockwise & counter clockwise. Lots of small climbs, almost seems like I climbed more then I descended, whichever direction I rode in. There were a couple of small air bridges as well. Only negative things I can say is there were a couple of sections where it was one small bump after another. I was glad I was riding a full suspension bike. The other is, you have to watch out where the trail intersects with the many horse trails in the area. Those crossing are all sand & a bit tricky. I think this trail has a lot of potential. I think a visit from an IMBA trail crew could really spruce it up.

Review: Easy singletrack cross country, some good downhill, lots of potential for a relatively new trail.
