Trail Description
About this trail
There's really 2 sides. By the parking areas are lots of short single and double track trails. Some nice parts but they all go up and down the same hill that is circled by park road. Many people so ride careful! The other side of 85 is also the park and is less travelled. Trails are slower due to leaf build up and lack of maintenance.

Review: I got a good 6 mile tour last night on a NEMBA ride and have to say this was a really fun loop to take. The trails were mostly smooth with some typical NE rocks/ roots, and it really allows for some whooping and hollering rides. There's not a marked loop, but keep an eye on the GPS map and you can feel your way around easily enough. There are a few grinder climbs and more than a few really fun downhills on the way out.

Review: Found some nice singletrack on the other side of Howe St. Looks like a lot of it is Hopkinton Town Trails but some good flow. To access from the park, ride across the dam and go up the trail across the street. There's also some good links to the back part of Hop SP from here. Definitely much better than my initial few rides!

Review: Different sections of the park make for very different rides. The main area to the north of the reservoir has a lot of short trails that connect the various parking areas plus roads. The area to the south is filled with roots. And the roots have roots. To the west, across 85, there are more longer trails and increased difficulty.
The park in general is more geared toward kayaking, picnicking, swimming, and fishing. It is well worth the visit for any of these activities, but the mountain biking is secondary.
Hopkinton State Park is a wonderful park and should be experienced. However, with the Vietnam trails just a few short miles south on 85, I would go there first.

Review: Vietnam is sick. Tons of singletrack. Alot of rocky terrain. Rollers and ledges. Some decent down hill also. If I lived closer I wouldn't ride anywhere else.
