Review: 7/25/19. Overall the trail is pretty well kept up. When you cross Mauk road and get back in closer to the water the trail is a bit soupy due to all the rain, and there are a few areas that were not weed whipped yet. There are a few nettles that will touch your arms, if you are allergic to them like me, you will be itchy. Also the horse flies are out in full force. If you are new to the trail as I was today, there is a blue sign when you pull in stating the property (which consists of sand volleyball, disc golf, and agricultural things) is "property of Hillsdale College, and permits may be required". I spoke with a person hiking (a college student) he said there would be no issues. I told him that the trail is marked on an app i use, he said again that it was fine, that basically they don't try to advertise it. He did tell me to come back anytime.

Review: Great intermediate trail, we rode it Saturday and went back for more on Sunday, discovered a whole section we had missed. Early spring, all trails were open and well marked. Definitely worth the trip.

Review: Trail was very overgrown in areas north of Mauck road. Sometime hard to follow because of overgrown weeds and bushes. Most of the areas in the Hardwoods where easy to follow and fun.

Review: Visited Hillsdale recently and found this gem. Luckily I brought my bike from East TN while visiting family nearby. Impressed with the track layout, flow maintenance and signage. Even though it had recently rained the conditions were really good. It doesn't have big elevation changes, sharp switcbacks, roots or rocksbut it still has some challenging terrain. Its a combination of single track, double track and open grassy farm lanes to improve your MTB skills. A real fun place to ride

Review: The first time I was there I wasn't sure where I was supposed to go. I came back and happened to arrive when the park steward was there chatting with someone. He told me where it starts, which is a few hundred feet back on a sandy double track road. It was very fun, moderately challenging (but a beginner could make it) and very well drained. In spite of recent rains the trail was open and the park steward said "this is always open, we never close". The majority of the trail is winding singletracks, with some grassy double track mixed in.
