Trail Description
About this trail
Approximately 11 miles worth of tight, technical singletrack. Trails pop in
and out of the woods and are essentially bisected by a power line
easement. Lots of off camber stuff and roots. Climbs are short but can be
steep and punchy in places. Trail caretaker does a GREAT job making this
place feel welcoming with a picnic area at the parking lot and a few chairs
and tables placed along the trails for rest areas.

Review: Well maintained, excellent signage. Very scenic "old growth" hardwood bottoms. Drawback is all the roots that come with the hardwoods. Well worth the $5 donation. A true gem in such a small town.

Review: Loved the trail! Very challenging overall almost 30 miles of trail! Incredibly great trail manager in Jimmy Scott, but they take very good care of all their riders! Can't wait to ride it again!

Review: This is to finish the previous review. Eastern half is lower and can be wetter, but better for speed. There is about 15 miles. Hart Farm has camping, TV, microwave, place to barbecue, wash off bikes, and plenty more. Great for groups

Review: These trails are well maintained thanks to Sockman (Jimmy Scott), the most hospitable person you will ever meet. The western half has plenty of climbs for a great work out. My favorite was Sockman trail because of the flow and closeness to the creek. At Mosquito Crossing Jimmy has ice water, granola bars, benches for a much needed rest.

Review: The trail is in really good shape right now (2/1/17). Jimmy "Sock Man" keeps the place amazingly clean and trees may fall but they don't rest long, he gets them out of there asap. I'm coming to really love this trail and especially the Hoedown Loop.

Review: Clearly the local riders love this trail. It has more places to sit and hang out than I have ever seen at any trail. Very cool area to gather and rest up or cool down. Gotta say however when you are the only one there, never seen it before and it's kind of misty and early morning low light....I'm pretty sure I heard banjos in the distance and it made me ride faster. The skeleton riding his bike at the entrance may have affected me this way. All kidding aside this is a nice trail system and filled with short alternative trails, creek crossing, steep drops, short steep climbs and some double track to use the big ring. Gotta visit this one if in the area.

Review: This may be best trail system in the area. Challenging, with tough, muscley climbs, good amount of roots, close corners near creeks and side hills. The true gem of this trail is the hospitality you'll find before, during, and after your ride. Change rooms, rest facilities, stocked fridges, grills, and satellite tv await you. Plus, there a stocked cooler at "mosquito crossing". Bike wash, neat skills area, great signage, ample parking, nice mechanic area, and camping capabilities. This place is what Mt. biking is all about---great trails, great memories, great friendships.

Review: Hidden gem in Union Point. A must ride if you are anywhere nearby. I would bet you have never seen anything like it before.

Review: Looooots of roots. Plenty of technical sections so it's impossible to get much of a flow. Time limitations didn't allow me to hit all the trails, so I'll definitely go back. Like the set up with the tech trails breaking off of the main trail, so the parking lot is never far away. Good ride.
