Review: Long, Dull. Unless you are training or have something to prove to yourself this trail doesn't offer a whole lot. No technical sections as it is a fireroad. For me the first mile is the toughest. Then after that, just a grind

Review: There are sections that challenge closer to the top. Otherwise a long slog and excellent training ride!

Review: A trail like this - whether its a fire road or not - depends on your fitness. Basically, its a long hard slog to the top. If you like this sort of thing, you might be a masochist... Having said that, as you get near the top, the views, on a clear day are utterly fantastic. Also, this trail seems to be less traveled than Blackstar and Maple Springs, so its easy to feel you've civilization behind (or below as the case may be). There's no doubt in my mind, the Santa Ana mountains are beautiful, that alone makes the ride worthwhile. Having said that, I'd rate this ride as intermediate, not beginner, as you really need a basic level of fitness to reach the top.

Review: Great climb up to Four Corners or the Peak. If you climb to the peak, this would be one of the toughest climb in the country. Great training ride.
