Trail Description
About this trail
This is a pretty fast course with varied trail type. The first mile is pretty fast and not very technical. The entire course is heavily wooded and gets kinda nasty when it rains. The next two miles is fairly technical and not nearly as fast as the trail winds through the woods and across several streams and washed out gullies. The last 1.5 miles is fast and straight and takes you around the entire course once again. For the most part this is down hill and very fast. Towards the very end of the loop, the trail makes its way back up to the parking area. This loop is known as the race loop; Champion loop is another loop that I believe goes around the course staying on the non-technical outer rim used by the race course. A pretty good ride. Similar to San Lee but a little faster.

Review: Really cool trail on private land. Two loops, race loop and challenge loop. The trail is fairly well labeled and easy to follow. There are a couple splits that look confusing, but most of them are a feature and the other direction is a bypass.

Several of the features are really a lot of fun and well executed, I especially enjoyed the rock garden that was in a downhill section.

One thing of note: I wish the pink warning sign about riding when wet was at the trailhead. It wasn't wet when I rode, but if it had been I wouldn't have appreciated a threatening sign once I had ridden 75% of the trail, telling me to "have my ID ready". I understand this is private land, I respect that, and I understand why the land owner wouldn't want you destroying his trail when it's wet. Point is, you should be stopping these people that ride wet trails before they even get on the trail. Put the sign at the trail head!

Review: Good flowing track for beginners and intermediate riders. Don't know if I took a wrong turn and doubled up some of the course but I logged just over 5.5 miles not 4. To me that was a bonus

Review: Plan to ride this trail this weekend. I have only ridden San-Lee and I felt like that was way too rough for my hardtail. I will update my review once I return from the ride this weekend, hoping for very little precipitation. I used to ride trails in Florida which were pretty flat and smooth.

Review: Looks like some trees have come down, but they have built new trails around them. Just as good and flowing as always!!

Review: Great fun. Semi-technical rock garden descent. Good traction. Lots of roots. Some log obstacles and a few jumps. Neat little historical signs to justify taking a breather. Cheers to the private landowner for allowing the trails. Cheers to the area riders for taking good care.
