this is a duplicate location which has the wrong address. correct address is 1473 Shaw Rd.
if you like the sort of trail where you can't go fast and is super rooty and stupid twisty you'd like this one. I don't. it's the first time I've deliberately cut my ride short (had it been dryer, I probably would've stuck it out). Hit the two- track between posts 7 and 10 which was actually the most enjoyable part of the ride. the two track was good for riding but the singletrack was meh. adequate signage and well marked but badly overgrown. in many places including the trailhead, it was difficult to know where the trail even was. covered with leaves and pine needles in many areas, deadfall, branches, face-slappers aplenty. bridges were all in good shape but the growth was a bit much and the trail lacked "flow" with many corners too tight for modern bars.

Trail is open and cleared of debris. Really a good ride! Bridges are repaired where necessary and there is a new parking lot. New bathrooms are being added as well. This is a nice intermediate level ride.

9 miles long now with the newer additions. Very cool trail! The park people keep it in very good condition.

New sections for 2016 appear to have the length up to about 9 miles. This is a really interesting trail. Good mix of fast flow and slow tech. Shhh! it is Michigan's best kept secret.

Best kept secret in middle Michigan! Tight and technical in some areas and fast flowy in others. I got 7 miles on my GPS but the trail rides like a 10 mile ride! It wore me out. I would definitely recommend it for intermediate and above riders.

Surprisingly fun and technical for a "middle of nowhere" trail! Not the best beginner trail, but great for everyone else. The start of the trail features many bridges and newly cut technical off-camber sections, while the later section includes some climbs (mild) and a bit more speed.

Awesome! Not your typical path through the woods. This trail has some fast flowing sections and some tight technical stuff. Couple of new sections make the length about 7 miles. Great workout and bike handling trail. Ride it!

There are basically two sections to this trail. The upper half which is fairly fast and flowy, and the lower half is quite technical. This is my favorite trail in the area since it's much more technical than anything in the area.
