Trail Description
About this trail
A mixture of fire roads and some rolling singletrack exist here. With the exception of a couple short singletrack sections, nothing too technical. Also has some rocky trail alongside an old rock quarry.

Review: Only rode this park a few times mainly during DINO events several years ago, and good thing there was a set course to know where to go. There were a couple of cool spots to ride on the loop but unless they have put work in them recently it isn't worth a drive.

Review: I did not have a good time here. Maybe I just wasn't in the right place, but these aren't biking trails at all, really just walking paths open to bikes.
It's a cool park with an interesting history and some cool features (you can go scuba diving, for instance), but not much good for real mountain biking.

Review: I wouldn't call these biking trails. They more resemble areas that that have been walked on often enough to create the semblance of a path. Biggest waste of gas, effort, and time. France park should be removed from every mountain bike trail guide in existence. Whoever put this up as a mountain bike trail was obviously having a laugh. The only thing I took from this place was a headache, anger, and the resolve to make sure nobody else makes the mistake I did by going to France park.

Review: Hugely disappointed! There is so much potential to turn these trails into something special. I would even be willing (with the right resources and people) to contribute time and effort to the cause. The trails are confusing (apart from the "secret trail" which is no longer a secret now) and there is little opportunity to really "ride." Trails are confusing and the map handed to me at the entrance was accompanied with the message "these maps are really old and confusing." It really is quite a shame because as mentioned, there is HUGE potential to turn these trails into something quite delightful.

Review: Trails in bad shape for the most part, it appeared that four wheelers had been on half the single track sections rutting them out

Review: For the most part this is true. But I was there this weekend and they have cleaned the trails up. Also spoke with the park board of members and they say that they are not having the ATV racers back out. They were to come back and fix the trails and they did not. All in all the best trails were not touched.

Review: Nothing seems to have changed in the last four years here according to the review in 2008. There are a few fun sections but there are no markings and the trail maps are horrible. It is more of exploring than riding a normal trail. On the bright side there are a some tremendous views if you ride up on the cliffs around the lake.

Review: I did not spend a lot of time here, but their were a couple of nice downhill sections and technical sections. Only problem is you find yourself on an easy trail or fireroad because the trails are not marked well. Overall I had a great time out there. 3 stars because the trails are not marked well.

Review: Rode the upcoming DINO Race course here an interesting mixture of short but steep climbs, creek crossings, big ring fire roads, rolling singletrack, and rocky doubletrack. Not technical enough to give it a higher rating, but not bad. Trail markers are missing on most trails, but maps are sprinkled throughout - easy to get confused.
