Review: I wouldn't define this trail as singletrack. It's really about 80% old road and 20% singletrack. It has good climbing and the downhills are wide open with nice rock sections as you approach Flat Creek. Overall, a decent loop ride before out-and-backing Stanley Gap or Green Mountain.

Review: Rode Flat Creek Loop this AM. Very close to our cabin off Stanley Creek. Hadn't ridden in several months but was able grind up the uphill sections. LOVED the downhill sections!! Other reviews are right about the last climb being tough. Still fresh after ride so went across Aska and rode the Green Mountain lower section, the connector to Long Branch, Long Branch and back for a good 2 hours of riding. Flat Creek is one of my favorites in this area!

Review: I just rode this trail for the first time and all the previous descriptions here are very accurate. Don't get lulled to "sleep" by the gradual and easy climb that is the first couple miles, because long and fast downhills with roots and rocks come out of nowhere. Also at the very end is where the hardest climb is, unfortunately.

Review: Right out of the gate you have about 2.25 miles of climbing, but a friend and I had a big grins on my faces the whole way down. Not crazy steep and hairy, but great flow with curves that allowed you to keep some speed. Rocky and rooty which kept our hearts pumping. Like everyone said "not flat" ..... but a flat-out fun trail.

Review: As previously stated, nothing flat about it. After the inital climb from the parking lot, you are rewarded with 2 miles of sweet downhill over creeks, water bars, loose rocks, and rocking trail. The final climb out to the parking lot was a challenge that will certainly make you pay for those earlier smiles while hauling tail downhill. Combine this with Stanley Gap, Green Mt, and Long Branch for an epic ride.

Review: Nice trail to combine with stanley gap. While this trail is somewhat wider and tamer, if ridden counter clockwise (i think) you will get to thrash some AWESOME technical descents that are just a feast at high speeds! Crazy fun!

Review: Much easier than the Stanley Gap route. This trail is wide and fast but as the other reviews have mentioned, it certainly is not flat. Good scenery and fun stream crossings.

Review: Hardly anything flat about it (other than a tire maybe). Riding counterclockwise you grind uphill on easy terrain for about 2 miles, then hang on for a descend down basically a dry creek bed and sweet singletrack for 2 miles, then it's a tough uphill climb back to a short downhill... I got close-lined by a thick vine on the downhill, and met 2 people who have broken bones on it... but still a fun challenge.

Review: Thie makes a great Lariat when combined with the STanley Gap trail. Start at the ASKA trailhead. Go up over and down stanley gap. Back to flat creek upper entrance. Right at loop junction all the way run the down hill to the creek then climb back the the upper junction of Flat creek Stanley Gap and then down the remainder of Stanley Gap... About 14 miles total.

Review: Nice trail. Some good downhills if you take a right @ fork to trail enterence, some hammering uphills if you take a left. trail is a little overgrown. Had to step over some rather large trees that fell into middle of the track at various points.
