Trail Description
About this trail
This trail is not technical, nor is it aerobically challenging, but it is a fun ride. I finished it and turned around and rode back in the other direction, completing the loop twice. Navigating the trail is not hard at all and well maintained. There's a $2 day use fee for the park, but well worth it. I'd recommend this ride to anyone looking to get in a workout. Nice woodsy scenery. Crooked Creek Trail is located just down the road and is 9 miles long. Combining these two rides in one day would be an awesome workout.

Review: I like this trail. It is a little sandy and not too technical. Kids can ride this trail if they are good at riding bikes.

Review: Fun trail for beginner but enough variation to keep better riders entertained. The parking is by the campground where there is also a trailhead sign. Go towards the left side of the pavilion beyond the fence to the trail entrance.

Review: I rode this trail counter clockwise and thought it was a blast. The first couple miles were all "down hill" and took it with a lot of speed. Really good scenery throughout and a couple fern meadows. I think this is the best trail in the area.

Review: Rode here for a quick ride with our group ranging from old to 11 both women and men. It was not too difficult for anyone. Very well maintained trail by a local group. Some areas with sand but no more than a few feet across. A few climbs and a few bridges to cross. Some very fast flowy sections. Trailhead starts through the grassy picnic area to the right of the lake. The 5 1/2 mile loop ends at the same place. Would be a nice ride and picnic place. We all loved this trail

Review: I had fun on this trail, even though it is not much of a challenge. It's a nice trail to enjoy Florida's outdoors. You can get a workout on the south side of the main road. The Lake/campground side would be a great trail to take people on their first mountain bike ride. Across the road you have some ditches, deeper sand, roots, a few short climbs that can be a challenge for beginners. Pick up the pace and work on stamina for the groovers who don't want to travel hours to more challenging trails.

Review: Nice trail for a short casual single track loop ride. This was my first time here and was basically scouting it to see I could bring my 10 & 12 year old along next time. Kids would be fine with this trail. Previous posters have said that the trail was flooded but it's all dry now. Very light sand throughout and 85% hardpack. This would be a great trail for an afternoon ride after work before heading home.

Review: Went to ride the trail August 30, 2014 and about 1/2 of the trail is under several feet of water. There has been some major flooding of the two lakes in the park, and all of the docks and large portions of the hiking trails and campgrounds are underwater as well. I'm not certain if this is seasonal or a serious beaver infestation, but the MTB trail is literally impossible to complete. I will upload pictures of the trail heading off into the water this afternoon. Head about a mile south down the highway and go to Crooked Creek Trail instead. It is in the same park and the trail is longer, faster, better maintained, and not under 3 feet of water.
