Mountain Biking The Rock
#15 of 387 mountain bike trails in Wisconsin
Fun, tight singletrack at a small ski hill.
Update 7/28/14 by jonmrtn:
Crystal Ridge is now The Rock sports complex since 2013. They transformed the hill into a short downhill course with some green, blue and black trails. The Rock sports complex is next to the Alpha trail which is still free and connects to the downhill runs if you choose to stay on into the woods. It's a great place to hone your skills if in the area.

Trail is snow covered. Caution that some of the rocks in and along the trail are difficult to see and are slippery. Overall definitely worth a trip out once the weather warms a little.
Thank |trails are in rough shape and lots of erosion but some of us have been maintaining enough for jump lines to be rideable. hopefully 2017 will be bring some people together to help clear the trails the way they should be!
Thank |Awesome bike park despite no chair lift. With a chair lift, it would be best bike park in midwest
Thank |The rock is now open to all riders by means of a honor system drop box near the lodge. It's 5.00 a day or 50.00 for the season. No more lift access, but several uphill climbing routes. The trails are not correctly maked so use caution.
Thank |Sorry posted last review before finished. The Rock sports complex is next to the Alpha trail which is still free and connects to the downhill runs if you choose to stay on into the woods. I rated this expert because there are some expert runs with lots of air opportunities. It's a great place to hone your skills if in the area.
Thank |Updated this because Crystal Ridge is now The Rock sports complex since 2013. They transformed the hill into a short downhill course with some green, blue and black trails. It's a great
Thank |Rode a couple days ago. It was pretty good. Came back to it today because I enjoyed the ride. It is obvious that Crystal ridge owner doesn't care too much about the trail or the riders, since they dozed a large section of it. I was told that it was because they did this for a Halloween thing. Good trail, but could be great if IMBA had a hand in it. If I was a local, I would be ticked that the ONLY legal trail in Milwaukee was damaged. It is also ok that I almost crashed because they randomly added a keep out sign on the trail where I couldn't see it. Had to move along a gravel road and pick up the trail at a later point.
Thank |Tight trail that bends through the woods and up and down the ski hill. Several obsticals to maneuver great for XC riders and beginner Technical trail riders.
