Mountain Biking Cougar Rocks

Cougar Rocks Trail is about 3.5 miles from Lake Sylvia Parking Area. It is good single track, through forest, with a section along a very steep ridgeline. There are a couple good vistas here. One looking out at the Satsop Nuke Towers and one looking down on the Satsop River. Nothing too technical, but some roots and flows fairly well. Appears to be best ridden South to North, but can be ridden either direction if you flip my directions. I haven't yet explored East Fork Trail, but it looks like Climbing up the West Fork and running this loop in reverse and coming back down Cougar Rocks in conjunction with East Fork could be a good option. I will try to map and add additional trails in the area as I have time.

Starting from Lake Sylvia State Park, head NE past boat launch and follow shoreline out to the B-line. Go right and continue NE. Continue right onto D-line. There is an option to ride East Fork Trail, or continue left onto G-line. Meet up with East Fork Trail nea G510 or take G510 to South end of Cougar Rocks Trail on your right. From the end of the trail, You can catch C-line rd West back to the lake, or continue North to X-line and catch West Fork Trail back down. Not recommended when wet. West Fork becomes a creek itself.
