Trail Description
About this trail
The Clemmer Trail climbs straight out of the parking lot and heads up towards the
rest of the trail system higher up the mountain. It climbs for about 3-3.5 miles
and gains about a thousand feet of elevation. The trail varies in width from nice
singletrack to doubletrack, and is very gravelly and loose in spots. It's all rideable
on the way up, though, and is a blast to rocket down on the return trip to the car!

Review: I rode from the trailhead to Benton Falls. The total distance, one way for this trip was 4.6 miles (in case someone wants to do it in the future). I think the climb is about 3 miles but not that bad. A lot of road rock for the first couple of miles and then changes to the sandstone and granite with more larger rocks to serve as play stones on the way up. As you reach the top the trail alternates between hardpack dirt/sand and stretches of rock. A few stream crossings that are fun to hit at speed, but be on your toes. Clemmer goes past Benton Falls but this was only my dog's second trip for this season and I didn't want to push her too much. Overall a fun trail. While I liked the downhill, it wasn't as fun as Thunder Rock Express.

Review: Challenging climb from the trailhead but tons of fun at the top with stream crossings and connections to other, less strenuous trails then a thrill-ride downhill to end the ride!

Review: Clemmer is smooth and clear to the top, but lots of aerobics peddling. The view quickly becomes spectacular looking down the mountain thru the trees. The trailhead has no facilities. Special thanks to the clown that took a steamy dump in the middle of the parking lot . Think of others, dig a hole and bury it next time.

Review: No fun on the way up, but definitely fun on the way down! Blue for aerobic difficulty and exposure.
