Trail Description
About this trail
Rails-to-Trails project. The trail extends from Piedmont south through Jacksonville to Weaver. The trail is mostly flat with just a few moderate grades. The path parallels Alabama highway 21 and goes through a mix of wooded areas and farm country. The trail is growing and the plan is to go north to Georgia and south towards Birmingham.

Review: This trail is beautiful. Yet quickly reminds me all the reasons that I am not a road biker. If you like asphalt, you'll love it.

Review: Great ride. Anyone looking for a good relaxing ride should check it out. Also, a great place for a good workout if you don't want to have to deal with worrying about cars.

Review: This is a road cyclist's haven. It spans from Marietta, Ga to Anniston Alabama. It is a 5 foot wide paved trail that is full of beautiful scenery.

Similar Trail: The road is the only similar "trail".

Review: This trail is a good one for beginers or people who just want to take it easy for the day. It is mostly flat and I think it is a great place to take the whole family.

Review: A good ride for those just wanting to put their heads down and pedal. New extension through Weaver, Al now makes the round trip close to sixty miles. Cool your feet in the cool, clear water of Germania Springs, adjacent to the trail, just north of Jacksonville.
