Review: Fabulous place to ride out and enjoy the lake. Also a ferry to the North Hero side!

Review: The causeway is a fabulous section of the Burlington Bikepath that goes straight out into the lake ending a couple hundred ft from the South hero side were there is a fairy that can take you across for a fee. The part of the old rail trail that brings you over the water( 3.25 miles out from road) is a spectacular smooth ride( packed dirt trail over a huge concrete blocks making up the base. You can stop anywhere and find a nice rock to meditate, swim from, have your lunch, or just hang out enjoying the fabulous view. Highly recommended place to reconnect mindfully with the earth. Peace & Love!?????

Review: 1Chain, you are not missing anything. This is part of the Burlington Recreation Path. Great for family rides, jogging or other leisurely activities, but it is not a mountain bike trail. It is a rail trail/rec path.

However, at Airport Park in Colchester, where many park to access the causeway section of the trail, there is a small section of single track trails in the woods on the west side of the park. They are perfect for kids learning to ride singletrack.

Review: Unless I am missing other trails, this is just a nice rocky path that takes you way out to lake champlain. Great for a cruise or run but its just a straight shot.
