Trail Description
About this trail
Several hiking and biking trails weaving around the hills between the 322 and 501. Some are tame, some near pro, all are very well kept and beautiful. Permits no longer required.
I recommend parking at pumping station road, heading south across the little bridge and going up the trail head there. Place has everything and is perfect for honing your skills. Major up-hills and down, but if you take the right path, you can get up one hill and be downhill for the rest of your ride.
Bart trail and Big Rock trails are hardcore, Sharp Valley trail is semi-tame and a lot of fun. You will get lost easily, but you'll find it fun to get lost because the area isn't really that big and you'll eventually get somewhere.

Review: I have only been here once but I enjoyed it. I parked at Pumping Station and basically hiked the horseshoe trail up to the top. There are definitely better ways in. Some fun switchbacks and wild descents. Some average climbs as well. Some trails are beginner, some are advanced.

Review: Great place to ride. 5 stars. Some real good technical rock trails and good climbs. Killer view from Eagle rock. Fire roads and singletrack involved. Plenty of trails over on the south side of 322 off Pumping Station Rd. If you know what you are doing you can connect it with the Mount Gretna trails and ride all day long.

Review: We rode this area in the early 90's for our. We would drive from Harrisburg after class. There were about 12 rider regularly. There were a few races the originated at the Boy Scout camp on top of the ridge. Nothing but great memories. Looking forward to riding here again. Didn't need pass then. Not sure about local scene as just moved back from AZ.
