Trail Description
About this trail
This area is composed of the southerly third of the Bulgan Range, which is smaller, lower and more barren than the two northern units. It is approximately 50 square miles (~31,500 acres) (130 sq.km.). The trails are very well connected and include a lot of two-tracks and dirt roads and some singletrack. There are a lot of trails within this system still to be identified and named.

This area makes a nice early season riding location because it is substantially drier and warmer than the upper part of the range. This is nice XC riding with prolonged climbs and descents.

The southern boundary of the area is the Orkhon River. The northern boundary is the main pass (road) dissecting the range. This road originates in the SW corner of the town of Bulgan and heads SW through the range. The eastern boundary is the main road from Bulgan to the small town/village of Orkhon. The western boundary is the broad valley just west of the range. Great place to explore and do a lot of early season miles.
