Mountain Biking Bikepark Špi?ák

  Add a review
#10 of 43 mountain bike trails in Czech Republic
#27,117 in the world

At present, the Špi?ák bikepark is the most progressively developing bikepark in Bohemia. Špi?ák offers a wide choice and possibilities for bikers who can combine freeride, downhill, north shore and jumps.
The bikepark is focused especially on freeride and downhill techniques, but you can find there also jump sections, single track, and a skill centre for beginners who can use it for acquiring biking skills, situated at the entry station of the cableway.
The trails are routed partly in the forest and partly on ski pistes. None of them is missing wooden barriers and other items to enjoy.

The Bikepark Špi?ák is the only Czech bikepark included among the top 14 European bikeparks where the all-season ticket GraVity Card is valid.

Getting there
By car: Follow the route Plze?, Klatovy and then either through Nýrsko and Hojsova Stráž or through B?šiny and Železná Ruda (both the routes from Plze? about 1.25 h). Visitors coming from Prague can use the motorway to Plze?. - The best route from ?eské Bud?jovice and Strakonice is via Sušice, Hartmanice and Železná Ruda. In case of heavy snowing it is better to go via Klatovy. - Visitors accommodated in Železná Ruda can go by train, bus or car and the journey time is 10 minutes. - The central parking facility "Kaskády" is situated at the main road, next to the branch road to the Špi?ák Sports Centre (500 m). - Another parking area is situated on the Špi?ák seat at the branch road leading to the Black Lake. From there you can ski down to the centre. Parking: Parking is possible in the parking facility situated at the railway station right below the centre (250m) or in the Kaskády parking facility (500m). In the summer season it is possible to park directly in the reserved parking areas.
