Review: Rode here again and again I got lost but managed to get a 13 mile loop in. I'm struggling to connect the airport south trails to the van girder loop. A local told me it no longer connects due to a private land thing. Anyone know?

Review: I think this is one of the better places to ride in the pgh area. Nice twisty single track thru the woods with lots of pine forest. Not really single speed friendly due to steepness of some of the climbs

Review: I've ridden just about all of the trails in the Pittsburgh area and Bavington is by far my favorite. The trails stand up to the Pittsburgh weather better than any of the others. I rode there yesterday and the trails were in perfect shape in mid-February. Not technical but lots of fun flowing buff single track!

Review: Brought my 10 year old son for his first time in the woods riding single track. Switchback trail was great! Not overgrown and perfect for his first ride.

Review: Went not long after a rainy week and was able to get through most wet spots without a problem. Great area to master because there are plenty of hills to ride down or power up once you know your way around!! Now most trails are named and many are well marked.

Review: I'm a newbie to the trails and mountain biking and I love this trail! I took my lady she rides a trek hybrid and easily maneuvered thru the terrain at a nice pace. Very cool trail system 2 thumbs up!

Review: Great CX trail system. Close to 30 miles of riding here. Some short steep climbs but nothing too crazy. Pure XC riding. It has been well maintained the last 2 or 3 years and drains well. If you want to ride for hours out in the middle of nowhere this is the place to go. You cant leave this place without a big grin on your face.

Review: 4 stars here. This area drains really well, primarily due to the work that the locals do.

My favorite so far has been the figure 8 and SSX as well as the Old Airport Trail. Typically hit Old Airport then do the small loop inside that trail, the pine race track. In the figure 8, stay to the right for the best flow, though either way works.

Some good technical spots, some good spots of flow, mainly this place is riding on a ridge. A bit out from the city area so less traffic.

State hunting grounds too, so Sundays are good and sometimes, like early May there are restrictions.

My first time here I rode back into the parking lot to find a local just shooting a pistol into a nearby hillside. He needed target practice.

Review: What makes this place shine is how quickly it dries, making it an ideal spot during the rainy season. There are actually close to 30 miles here, and with proper routing you can experience almost all of it in one ride. The trailhead at Haul Road is the best maintained couple miles, followed closely by the Figure-8 on Knowlton Hill Road; the trails around the airport and old airport tend to be saved for last. Most of the ride is on a bed of pine needles, and maintains some of the best flow in the area. If you're in the Pittsburgh area, you must check this place out.
