Trail Description
About this trail
These trails have been a well kept secret for a few years but as of recently, the bike shops have been handing out directions to the trail head. If you're interested in joining group rides here, visit Old Towne Bikes in Fredericksburg. I reccomend going on a group ride first as the trails are a big spider web of singletrack that are very easy to get turned around and lost in.

The trail itself is very similar to Lodi Farm only better groomed and not as blown out. Expect plenty of roots, short climbs, and creek crossings.

Review: This trail is a local secret we have enjoyed since the early 1990s. It is fast, rocky, rooty, and very easy to get lost in. Make sure you bring lots of water and snacks and prelare to exit the trail 30 minutes before your deadline, as you will get lost. Great place to put on miles and build your skills, but not so hard that you cant recover during the ride. Fall and winter are treachurious and summer gets pretty dry and loose/ dusty. Overall this trail rocks for all levels and is the best " moderate to advanced " trail in the 'burg!

Review: This is a large network of narrow snaking trails. You don't have to worry much about knowing where you're going, however, bc it seems you will eventually end up back at the trailhead. There is decent variety of terrain from steep climbs to tight curves and even a vista if you find the right path.

Review: Trail still in great shape but there seem to be more No Trespassing signs this time around which cut down on some of the sections you can ride. Not sure if the land owners are restricting the trail or if someone is just messing around. Would love to get the scoop on this.

Review: Nice trails but quite a bit of a spider web track as previously noted.....best probably in a group that familiar with it. LODI FARM was a great tuff track to run highly recommend !

Review: Tough to navigate since there are no markings on the trail. Once you get going it isn't too bad. Tons of spin off trails initially. If your in town and looking for a good 2 hour ride I'd stick with lodi farm.

Review: Trail is in very good condition even though there are several trees down. Nothing that is too great of an obstacle though. As others have mention, bring your phone or a GPS as the trail crosses back over itself many times and it is quite easy to get confused. Leave plenty of time to get yourself straightened out and you room have no problems. I feel the right and back sections of the trail are more difficult than the left section due to the terrain and the cut of the trail. Just get out there and ride.

Review: Had a great ride, even after all the rain last night, there was no major wet areas. Kind of a hidden gem back there, but mark where you park on your gps or phone because the trail system isn't marked very well, but it's not bad tho. Good to get lost a little.

Review: Good trail, plenty of variety in terrain. There was a recent fire and the resulting fire trail makes some of the trails interesting, but not overly difficult.

Review: This was a pretty nice trail located in the Fredericksburg Area. The trail was somewhat loose as leaves have fallen and sugar sand lined some corners that almost took me out. The trail is not marked at all so making your way around can be trial and error or just a plain headache. I managed to hit up most of the eastern side but it got late and I had to find a way out. Ended up riding the roads a bit to get back to my car. I would recommend bring your phone along in case you get lost so you can make your way out. I did run into a trail that was marked private property so watch out for that. Bring water along too, nothing like being dehydrated and lost, maybe even lights if its late. The trials are more open and its easy to scout ahead also fairly flat so maintaining speed is much easier and more fun.
