Trail Description
About this trail
You have to love -- I mean LOVE -- climbing to take on his urban oasis. The climbs are granny-gear challenging (and then some) with lots of narrow switch backs to get up the sides of what's best described as a ravine. It can be overwhelming the first few times out -- the climbs can be killers and the markers are OK, but not great. I'm pretty good with wayfinding, but I really find it easy to get turned around. Still, it's a great in-city ride that's super challenging -- you'll work up a sweat, burn some major calories and set your butt muscles on fire. What's not to love?

Review: I have been riding these trails for 5 years and have to say they beat the groomed engineered trails in the area hands down. New trail markers and signs make it super easy to find your way around. If you know the connecting roads between tracts, the bluffs has a 15 km loop that offer all types of riding (uphill, downhill runs, switchback and root/rock gardens). The bluffs are one of my personal favorite rides.

Review: The difficulty meter on here is not accurate. These trails are HILLY. Like get off your bike and walk most of the time hilly. Prepare to work a sweat. The downhills can be steep as well so if you're going to go down them, make sure you have a good bike that can handle it, and you're wearing a proper helmet.

There are some good moments in the trails, and it can be a fun ride. But just be prepared for the hills. Not called the Ardagh "Bluffs" for nothing.

Review: Good in town ride, but the hills will kick your arse your first couple times there...the description doesn't lie...You have to love hills to come here. I will be returning soon now that my endurance is up lol.

Review: Nice little trail system. Mostly easy stuff with one difficult switchback trail. Lots and lots of hikers and people walking dogs. Small area you can't get lost.

Review: Love riding in the Bluffs. They are challenging and make for a great workout! I usually do a 5km loop called the ring trail.
