Trail Description
About this trail
Arcadia is the ONLY place to ride in RI. THe park has fire roads and singletrack all over the place. Some technical, some fast, all great. Still see it with my eyes closed. Get there soon. Don't confuse it with Acadia in Maine. It's ARCADIA!

Q: Can a cyclocross survive on this trail? -Guest

A: Plenty of trails here where a CX bike will do well. Others where you will wreck or walk your bike. Between the fire roads and not too steep/bony singletrack, you can ride CX for multiple days here and the surrounding area without crossing your tracks once.

Review: Follow the link below for an awesome highlight video from Arcadia Management Area (Not called Arcadia State Park), in Exeter, RI. Mountain biking Arcadia Management Area is always a blast and well worth a visit if you are in the area. With more than 14,000 acres Arcadia is a maze of awesome trails. Unfortunately, there isn't much elevation to be had, but there is endless rocky/rooty single track to test your take your technical abilities to their limits. I consider this the Harold Parker of RI since there are short bursts of speed, but mostly rocky tech. I would recommend using a MTB map app to make sure that you keep you bearings here. There are a ton of trails, many which I have yet to test out. Enjoy! I post new videos from different spots in the Northeast every Monday, so be sure to subscribe for more! https://youtu.be/J-85sGHR5mU

Review: Very very nice New England style trails that is well maintained by NEMBA. Tons on top of tons of miles of trails. Make sure to print out some trail maps, pack some water, and some snacks before going there. You can do different trails almost every trip there...

Review: Beautiful scenery, trails of all skill levels. The only downside is that this area lacks a detailed map of the network.

Review: A comprehensive waterproof 16" x 20" map of all the hiking trails, footpaths, and roads in Arcadia is available at many outdoor stores in RI. Cliff Vanover created the map and it is published by GreatSwampPress.com for $13.

Review: Arcadia is one of the Biggest Little's top riding spots. North of 165 Breakheart is the standard ride, but the ledges (a 50' high rock ledge included) on the Western edge. South of 165 Route 95 trail is main attraction. Fun short technical run around the pond. Multiple routes up the hill from Browning Mill. Plenty of roots and rocks. Not a lot of up down. A destination.

Review: Way more than the 25 miles this site claims. 125 miles is more like it. Great place to ride all season long.

Review: Staying in Newport and worth a visit. Nice trail but no big climbs. Lots of roots, occasional sand, a brief hike through large rock gardens. Easy to get lost.

Review: Road in on single track. Standard trail. Fast turns, logs. Nice stuff. BUT, I was looking for Mt Tom and that trail ripped!!! Roots rocks twisty up and down. Too much fun. Broke my chain before the ride was complete which was a bummer. I will definitely be back!!
