This is my local trail, I have family pass for my boys and me. That said, sure there are more challenging trails and there are easier trails too. We ride here more than any other trail in the area because it offers some fast sections, some tight sections, some climbs and descents and about 10 miles of fun. There are roots; you are riding in the hardwood forest of the Southeast. What did you expect? I have taken new riders here and they did quite well. Great place to make a couple laps and make it different by reversing directions.
Some recent "improvements" have actually taken out some of the more challenging sections. I would have liked to have the option to ride with signage advising trail difficulty.
All in all a great place to ride.
