Trail Description
About this trail
There are around six to ten trails to ride on. They are single track and fairly narrow. There are some obstacles. There are just a few hills. Total area may be one to two miles of tracks. It is a pretty good ride for beginners as there are only one or two tough spots. The trails are in pretty thick woods. Lots of roots to ride over. Also a few low points collect water after a rain, this can be a challenge... The trail is free to the public. No restrictions on times to ride. It is usually not crowded...

Review: This is my local trail, and first I've cut my teeth on mountain biking. Not very technical with a few rider built Jumps along the 3 mile course. I see other, older reviews saying 3.5 to 4 miles, but it's just at 3 miles, maybe older routes were longer? Trail can be fairly curvy, but there are plenty of berms to help with cornering in areas. There are flow-y spots along the way that let you get your speed up, but be carful when it's wet, which is almost all winter long. The trail does stay wet all winter, with having really watch the weather for dry spells, and plan your rides around it. The guys at Mountain Bike Lafayette, do a good job of keeping the trail in rideable shape. Check their FB page before heading for a ride to make sure the trails are open.

Review: Great trail for beginners. This is a flowy track with a few jumps built in. The jumps are filled in and less intimidating than gap jumps and have bypasess. Always well kept but does stay muddy for quite a while after it rains. That is normally the reason for trail closures make sure you check the Facebook page for up dates if it is open or closed.

Review: Beautiful trail, my first MTB trail. It is an fantastic beginner trail and since I live in Carencro, it makes for a good 10 minute drive. For those who want a small exercise, ride to the system trail folker. Those who love ramps could take the jump paths throughout the 4 mile trail. Their is one section that allowes you to cut through the trail with a green circle and straight their is a black diamond, i prefer black diamond. Down Folkar, their is a large hill, two of the trails loop out back to the hill, one of the paths looks leafy, bumpy and not part of the trail. Suprizingly that is actually the right path (I learned that the exhausting way). Anyway a beautiful trail.

Review: The trail at Acadiana Park has been seriously upgraded over the last few years and now features 3.7 miles of tight and woodsy aingletrack. It is located in a nice park on the southeast side of town and is very easy to get to from I-10 or other local roads. For a city like Lafayette that is only 28 feet above sea level and has very few big hills, Acadiana Park offers some fairly challenging terrain, more hills than you would think, some nice berms, bridges and other obstacles to make your ride both exciting and enjoyable. If you can do two laps around this trail, you will get a serious workout... if you can do 3-4-5 laps, then you are a far better man than me. This is the only real mountain bike trail in the area, the other close trail being Comite Park in Baton Rouge... If you live in or close to Lafayete and have not ridden Acadiana Park, you need to take a trip out there very soon... you will be glad you did, and you will be returning there for another ride soon. !!!

Review: The trail isn't that bad really if you're a beginner. The trail features a couple of pretty cool jumps, one of which is labeled as a "triple black diamond" jump. I only rode the trail once, in the beginning of July, so I didn't want to take on big jumps just yet on a new trail. The trail is quite narrow, and visibility around the next turn is impossible with all of the overgrown foliage. It's a great use of a small confined area. Would I ride again... sure... after I know the trail has been ridden already that morning! The spiders are a nuisance, especially the banana spiders. There's also a few roots on the trail that will really test your bunny hopping skills, but nothing more technical than that. Good flow track... I have a youtube vid of the 30 minute ride if you would like to check it out at https://youtu.be/_CkT1TVf-ss

Review: Trail is 3.5 miles now and getting better every month. This track is clearly designed to be more flow and speed oriented as opposed to technical. Plenty of berms and a few jumps. It is definitely a fun trail and a great addition to the trail system in south Louisiana.

Review: 2016 has been a great year for the trails. Completely different place than I remember. No more driving two hours in any direction when I have a trail of this quality in town.

Review: It has been a couple months since I rode this trail, there has been quite a bit added for distance and obstacles. the improvements are for the better. The trails can be a bit difficult to follow with the changes, the markings will probably improve as the work continues.
