Trail Description
About this trail
State park with road going from one end to the other. Road is 50% paved and 50% gravel. Scenery is beautiful! Trout streams follow the road. Wicked hills. Good family ride but may have to push bike unless you are very fit. Even with pushing its a good family ride, but tough. Has a covered bridge. Roads are wide.

Would be killer training ride for the mtb maniacs out there.

Review: Ensure you understand the difference between singletracks definition of easy and beginner. This is as others have described. It is easy, but aerobically challenging. Be ready to hike/push a bike. If you do not bike much, I would recommend that the family ride at least causally ride two weeks prior in order to take this ride on. Great teaching event, while riding those two weeks, I would discuss and practice the skill climbing, changing gears, downhilling, and breaking -- both pavement and gravel. Great family ride, great scenery, and a great way to learn how to go through the gears. We will go again and do recommend it to other families.

By the way no cars are allowed beyond the parking area (see photo of car and trail head), therefore you can use the entire road when riding without fear of an oncoming car.

Review: If you like gravel, then this trail is for you. There is a short paved road section, but it's mostly wide large-gravel road riding. The gravel is large and thick, and your tires will really sink in- did not find this as pleasant for riding as typical dirt trail. The scenery does make up somewhat for the crappy trail- ups and downs, fields, forests, streams, and a covered bridge. $5 to park, free to ride.
