These were my go to shorts this summer. Great weight for a summer riding shorts. They can be worn comfortably with pads, never bunching up or riding up your leg. The rear pocked is zippered and is padded which is nice for putting keys or a tool in to. The multiple hem lines is also a nice touch which makes it easy to customize the length of the shorts; however, I did not like the idea of potentially ruining my nice new shorts with a crooked cut so I just left them.
The only downside that I found is that the shorts material pilled very easily, especially when it came into contact with Velcro. Which is unfortunately since the shorts have tonnes of Velcro attachments which love to come undone during washing.
I would highly recommend buying Skylines but make sure you follow the washing instructions. You should also consider buying an extra set as you'll be wearing them way more than any other biking shorts.
Pros - Lightweight material
- Plenty of pocket space
- Rear padded pocket
- Adjustable waistband
- Good cut and length (covers pads well)
- Multiple hem lines which allows you to customize the length
- Material has good stretch
Cons - Velcro fly
- Material pills when it comes into contact with Velcro
