Pros I have the 50mm. I love how it looks so beefy yet it's so light. Other stems look like they're trying to hide between the headset and bars and the Thomson just says here I am bro, let's go slay some trail (it looks like a big block). Never buying anything but Thomson.
How can a stem look so chunky and aggressive yet remain so light? Only Thomson knows. Best stem in the business! Extremely strong clamping areas. Doesn't leave too much of a gap between faceplate and stem with handlebars attached.
Pros Beefy. Strong. Lightweight. Pretty. Lots of sizes.
Pros The 70mm 0 rise version is my favorite stem for most of my rides. It puts you in perfect position to charge down the trail. It really lends itself nicely to modern bikes with longer top-tubes and wider bars. Ludicrously stiff and very reliable.
Cons They're a bit spendy but well worth the money.
Love this stem.
