In my mind X9 is the way to go. Its leagues ahead of the X7 shifters because it actually feels like a solid unit. The X7 and lower feel and look like a Costco special. It is also quite affordable, retailing at about half the price of X0, but you get the same precision and smoothness as the X0.

I'm a Sram guy so if you like their products I highly recommend the X9 and wouldn't spend the money on anything less.

    Pros
    - Crisp and smooth
    - Shifts quickly
    - Good price
    - Sleep and simple
    - No gear indicator

I love these shifters. I highly recommend them.

    Pros
Don't realize they are there, perfect shifts when adjusted right.

    Cons
Clamps are weak and expensive to replace. Tight's tight, too tight's broke!

I have used this shifter on my urban bike for about a year. I liked it enough to replace a Shimano Rapidfire shifter on my XC bike. Like the other reviews say, the shifting is smooth, quick, and trouble-free. Both my bikes are setup 1X9 so I can't say how the front shifter would perform. I like the all push action on the triggers. The trigger placement feels perfect on the handlebar.

    Pros
Trouble-free performance, good value for the price

    Cons
    none

Does the little display telling you which gear you're in really add that much weight, or do you just look like a n00b if you have it? Personally, I'd rather have the X7 shifters. Same performance, but with the gear display.

    Pros
    Awesome performance

    Cons
No display of which gear you're in.

Best triggers ever, dual thumb triggers allow for complete control of braking and shifting at all times. The action is crisp and smooth, works perfect everytime.

    Pros
Best trigger system ever... period. I've converted to Sram and will never go back to any other inferior brands :cough:shimano:cough:

X9 works great positive shifting just like the X0 with the exception of the bling. Just as smooth shifting without the adjustable shift lever and carbon cover.

    Pros
Crisp shifting positive no miss shifting.

    Cons
Unfortunately can't be used on shimano
