Purchased this crank with bash guard to make up for my lack of riding skills. I later removed the bash guard after my skills improved to make a lighter crankset.
These cranks are lightweight and very stiff. Hold up to the inevitable rock strike. Only complaint is the noise it make when the get hit by trail debris.
I have the M665 with the bash guard, decided to lose the 3rd chain ring since I bent my last crankset on rocks. This crankset is awesome, price wasn't bad and am looking to get alot of use out of it.
Pros Light weight and strong. Performs well, bash guard works well too.
Pros Relatively cheap, light (for the money), strong, easy to install. It performs like the old Saint cranks without the weight penalty... great general-use cranks.
Cons Could be lighter... but then they'd cost more... so none really.

Awesome crankset for the money. No flex even when pedaling very hard on it. Overall, great upgrade to my current setup.
Pros
Light weight. Robust for all mountain riding. Great design. Flawless shifting. Great bottom bracket. Very stiff.
