If your on a budget, looking to upgrade your low end coil fork, or just need a replacement for a defective fork, Recons are a good choice. If you've got more than $300-400 to spend though, there are better choices out there.
Pros Cheap, 32mm stanchions (most forks at this price point ar 30mm), air sprung, reasonably durable, and a 2 year warranty.
Cons Cheap - After a year of use, my rebound adjuster had to be replaced (but it was covered under warranty). Also the air spring makes more noise under compression than other rockshox forks do like the Reba or Revelation.
So far I am pleased with this fork. When I first rode out of my garage it felt great. When I hit the first root section, I knew it was radically better than coil. It is adjustable which allows you to set the fork for your need. The fork can make a subtle howl/honk noise when it compresses, this is really a minor complaint though and the benefits out weigh the drawbacks here. This is a great fork to get as an upgrade for a low-end hardtail.
Pros Lightweight
Compression and Rebound Adjustment with lockout
Amazing forkProsGreat fork for hardtail bike, much better ride than a non air fork, love the adjustability of the rebound and the full lockout works very well. I also love the spacers to either raise or lower the ride height.ConsNot as many bells an whistles as other forks but I also don't want any of those
A great fork for those who don't want to shell out the high dollars for a fork.
Pros Great fork for the money. You get a decent fork that has real lock out features as well as real adjustments. Cheaper forks may say they have these features but they don't work..This fork does work well.

They are definetly not the top of the line but they are definitely not the bottom of the barrel either. Great forks.
Pros
Responsive
Lockout option is awesome
Great for all-mountain riding

Works well on my 2016 Xcaliber 9. No complaints.
Pros
Value.
Huge improvement over coil.
Cons
Thank | Edit |None
For entry level cross country great shock. Absorbs small drops and keeps rolling. I'd buy again.
Pros
Inexpensive, lighter than coil, adjustability, ride quality.
Cons
Thank | Edit |Though lighter than coils still little on heavy side. Noise as air travels in shock not unbearable but you hear it.
Awesome fork for the money. I got the 2012 model for a bargain at pricepoint on close out.
Pros
Value, features, price
Cons
Thank | Edit |Not as advanced as other forks, but not built for that
Upgraded the stock fork on my HardRock. What a difference! It's like a whole new bike.
Pros
Air and rebound Adjustable. Comes with it's own pump, easy to install yourself.

Thank | Edit |This is overall a great fork. Very responsive and totally bomb proof. Its very easy to adjust for your needs.
Pros
Great construction, Good adjustability, ease of lock out. Low maintaince.
Cons
Thank | Edit |No plugs for the rim brake mounts.
I would recommend this to someone who is looking for an inexpensive yet sophisticated fork for a XC bike.
Pros
Lockout works decently. Inexpensive and good quality craftsmanship.
Cons
Thank | Edit |Heavy but you get what you pay for. The air pressure does not seem to affect the stiffness of the travel much.
For the money this is a decent fork and fairly flexable platform.
Pros
Decent construction and the lockout option works well. Fairly light for the cost.
Cons
