Its simple, buy them. There isn't too much to say: they're light, stiff and plenty strong for even the most abusive rider. Atlas are a very veristile crank as it's light enough to run AM but strong enough for DH. You can set them up to run a single, double, or triple ring configuration. To me I'm not sure why you would want to run anything else.
A note on Saint and Atlas: Since the performance and design are pretty much the same between Saint and Atlas the only reason I would recommend Atlas over Saints is strictly based on looks. Atlas are slimmer and come in a wide assortment of colors, whereas Saints look big and burly.
Pros - Strong and light
- X-Type makes crank removal easy
- Cheaper than Saint
- Simple and sleek design
- Graphics
- Crank arm middles are recessed so shoe rub only occurs on the far sides and doesn't effect the graphics
- Top of the line
- Available in many colors to suit any bike
- No need for pedal washers (or don't need to worry about loosing them)
Cons - Pre-2012 X-Types took some muscling to ensure things were tight
- Still no solution to prevent shoe rub wear on finish
