Yes, I very much recommend the Protec B2 or any of the Protect MTB helmets with the SXP inner liner. ProTec is by far the best!!! Though, I do not recommend the skate board helmets with out the SPX inner liner of any brand.
Pros Everything! This is by far the strongest and most comfortable skid lid I have shred in. It literally saved my head from being crushed where all others I have seen fail.
Cons Yes, it is warmer than traditional MTB helmets, however, traditional MTB helmets are garbage for protection.
I think this helmet offers far more protection then a standard XC helmet, it covers a lot more of the head and comes farther down toward the neck. I also like the looks of this better then the more traditional style MTB helmets.
Pros This helmet fits great and is light and looks good. There is also a very good selection of colors to choose from.
Cons I does not cool as well as a more traditional MTB XC helmet would, It is still comfortable to wear all day in the hot weather though. It also does not have a visor for those who want one.
