Worth having if you ride more than once a week. Replacing your chain on time can lengthen the life of your drive train significantly. It will also save you the frustration of poor shifting.

    Pros
Much more accurate than the analog dial one.

    Cons
    None

This tool is a must if you plan to do a lot of riding and want a healthy drivetrain. A worn out chain can break or strip the teeth on your cogs leaving you stranded on the trail.

    Pros
Solid construction, easy to use, easy to clean, does exactly what it is designed to do.

    Cons
    NONE !

Cheap enough that every home mechanic should have one.

    Pros
Simplicity at its best. No springs and no way to read it wrong. If it fits it needs replacing. No questions asked.
