Q: Are you using the rear derailure Goat link? I recently bought the 42 tooth and waiting for the bike to arrive in the bike shop, but I purchased the Goat LInk to help with the issue your having. I wonder if I use all 3 if that will help??

$55 may seem like a lot for just a cage, but the difference in shifting is night and day. I had stopped using the OneUp 42T cog because the shifting was so sloppy. The cog sat in my toolbox for a year and I was bummed that I had spent $90 on it. If you have a Shimano rear derailleur and a range extending cog, do yourself a favor and get one of these.

Machined from thick aluminum for durability.

DRAMATICALLY improves shifting vs. stock when using a 40 or 42T cog on the rear cassette.

    Only two color options?
